Valentine's Day either gets people skipping and all googly-eyed or cringing with bitterness. Which one were you? It was just like any other day for me, but since February 14th did land on a Friday this year (no school!), I decided to spend it with lots of good food and good company. Who needs a man when you have your girls? ;)
With the help of Yelp, I found myself at Daisy May's BBQ in Hell's Kitchen. What better way to say "I love you" than with baby back ribs with a side of mac and cheese?
My lunch date ♡ Andrea. I don't know how we do it, but we always end up in the funniest situations. Getting into all kinds of trouble with this one.
Free Valentine's Day cupcakes! Pfft suckers..
After an extremely satisfying lunch with Andrea, it was back to dining table within just a few hours, this time at Community in Morningside Heights. Poloroid photos were in order, 'cause those are only for special occasions, and this being one of them.
Isaaa & Danehhh :) Since 2003
To beat the lull of food coma that was sure to come after all that indulging, we headed over to the Columbia vs. Harvard basketball game. My first ever college basketball game!
It was a close game with a lot of back and forth between the two teams. Columbia caught up to Harvard towards the end, then Harvard climbed back up. We were stuck in a tie for a little bit, but in the end, Columbia ended up losing this one. I forgot how intense watching basketball games can be... and this was just the Ivy League! The Knicks game I'm set to see in two weeks will be an even crazier four quarters.
To end the night, we capped off with one too many.
Every day is love day with the right people. Cheeeesy.
