Drunk Food

One too many drinks in the middle of the night will have you itching for something. Something a little greasy and preferably a little cheesy. With a side of the usual slurred conversations with the fry cook, please!

That's exactly how Austin and I felt in the middle of Anna's birthday celebration in Apgujeong. And that's where Solbin Dog comes in.

A local landmark, if you will. A hotdog stand with one fry cook who seems to know pretty much everybody who passes by, and everybody knows him. It's pretty endearing, or maybe that was just my grumbling stomach and all the alcohol talking.

I ordered the bacon wrapped, chili cheese topped, Doritos sprinkled Solbindog. For eight bucks, this might be exactly what you need to keep you going for the rest of the night. It's true, I probably could have settled for a Mcdonald's cheeseburger at this point, but I think the Doritos topping ingenuity and the sense of comradery sitting around my drunken peers really made all the difference.

It wasn't until the morning after, when I told my brother about Solbin, that I found a bit more about the place and its charming chef. But I don't wanna be the one who spills the beans. I say you head over and ask yourself what his story is. It's full of love and heartbreak, so I promise it'll be a good one. Solbin is open until 5 AM after all. Do you have any where else to be tonight?
