I think I remember someone saying on an Anthony Bourdain show that when you sit down to eat crab, don't expect to have any conversation. To be totally honest, when you're hungry and the food is good, no words really need to exchanged, crab or otherwise.  

We had decided on Indian for that night, but because there was just too many of us, they said we'd have to wait at least an hour for a table! Nobody thought to make a reservation, cause, well, it was a Thursday. I guess that Indian place must be pretty good. Mental note taken!

So after much wandering around, we settled for Turkish food. Equally as good! And you know how I love my lamb kebabs!

An order of hummus and pita bread to start.

I had to stop everyone from devouring it all to that a photo, and look what I did.. I made the pita deflate! :( whoops. 

Brick oven baked pizza, which I found a a little odd. Is pizza a thing in Turkey? That's a silly question, isn't it?

Aaaaand there's my lamb. Charred, seasoned, chewy, and tasty... Sigh, I'd be damned if I ever turn vegetarian!!

It's a shame I didn't take any more photos that night. Especially photos of actual people, and not just the food. We had a cake and tea and everything! Bad blogger. But c'mon, all that food would get anyone distracted! 

If I remember correctly, this place is called Kervan. Though not as glitzy as Hummus Kitchen, good lamb is good lamb, am I right?
