What's Left on the Summer Bucket List?

Tuesday, August 05, 2014

With just a little under two weeks left in my New York City story, I had to stop and think about what was left to be done. I think I've seen most of the must-see sites and I'm pretty sure I've walked across at least half of the streets of Manhattan. I've eaten to my heart's content and, at the same time, worked my little fingers to the bone. I've gone to school. Found a job. Just about wrapped up an internship. So what's left? Well...

I still haven't seen the city from a rooftop. And my first time can't be on just any rooftop -- it has to be on the Top of the Rock, also known as the 67th floor of the Rockefeller Center.

Just because I've eaten to my heart's content doesn't mean there isn't room for more. Restaurant Week is currently ongoing and I've booked a table at two different midtown restos for lunch and I can't be moooore excited! Pictures will be up as soon as I'm seated!

Six Flags is only an hour car ride away. I got M to promise me a trip there before I head back to the motherland. He's absolutely terrified of heights (which makes no sense since he's been skydiving before...) and I'm an adrenaline junkie. Isn't that a match-made in heaven? Because August is my birthday month, we're going of the Drop of Doom. Done deal.

That's about it for now, but I think three makes for a hefty list. Fingers crossed I get everything checked off by the end of summer.

  1. Sounds like your summer will end with a bang. You can also try doing something on your own, like traveling outside the country just by yourself. I think that would be fun.
