Carry-on
Sunday, January 26, 2014
Not too long ago, I hopped on a plane, crossed the Pacific and landed smack in the middle of the Big Apple (!!!). Above everything else, that meant an excruciating 14-hour flight. Getting comfy on a plane is always a struggle, and something about extended hours in a pressurized cabin makes me feel like mush. Hey, I can't be the only one. So why not try to make the experience even just a tiny bit better with a mini-spa day in the sky. Corny but it's fun! And it makes all the difference once you touch down at your final destination, promise :)
- The Face Shop Herb Day Cleansing Tissue – If you wouldn't normally go to bed with your foundation on, why let it sit on your face whilst on a plane for hours and hours?
- IOPE Moistgen – Hi, I'm Isabelle, and I'm a samples hoarder. IOPE always made great moisturizers, and these mini sizes were perfect for my carry-on. Hooray for free samples!
- Laneige Water Sleeping Pack_EX – A cult favorite in Korea. Pat this on on top of all your serums and creams, and head straight to bed, or in this case, to your seat. This pack will seal everything in and enhance the moisture effect.
- Caudalie Grape Water Mist – A spritz all over for when you feel a little parched mid-movie.
- Dior Creme de Rose Lipbalm – Another Holy Grail within the beauty community. Of course, Dior isn't totally essential for every carry-on, but I will say that Creme de Rose is the velvety-est, most soothing (and not to mention priciest!) lipbalm I've ever come across.
- Dior Diorskin Nude BB Creme in #2 – After a howmanyhour long trip, the last thing you need to stress over is your foundation. So skip it all together for BB creme. Less hassle, foolproof, glowing, and flushed.
General rules of thumb include ditching the alcohol for H2O -- the cheap wine and headaches just aren't worth it -- and getting plenty of shut eye, no matter how good the movie line-up is. Bon voyage! Happy travels!
