No Excuses

It's amazing what you can do in a day if you get off your ass to do it. And in a city like New York, you really have no excuse to be bored. I found myself having a very cheesy (both literally and figuratively) brunch at Delicatessen in SoHo one minute, then running around (also literally) the Met in the Upper East Side, and then finally finishing off with a Broadway show I've *literally* waited years for.

Truffle Spinach and Artichoke Dip

This is going to sound kind of dorky, but I think spinach is my favorite vegetable.
Anyway, the spinach dip here makes my heart ache for the one from Cibo back in the Philippines. But I supposed this will have to do for now.

Not just any breakfast burrito...but THE Breakfast Burrito. That was a little anti-climatic, wasn't it?

Cheeseburger Mac

Like the dummy I am, I went onto Yelp to check out the reviews only AFTER we had left. It seemed like everyone was raving about Delicatessen's Cheeseburger Spring Rolls... I guess that means I haaave to go back soon.

I've mentioned a few times how much I'm not a fan of fine art museums -- I just don't have it in me. What made it worth it though was seeing all these artists come in to replicate the paintings on the walls. Coming from someone whose skills plateau at stick figures, these people deserve so much more recognition!

See! Running! I didn't want to be late for...

This!

I've wanted to see Wicked before I even knew about musicals. It started out with an introduction to the soundtrack from my childhood friend Caroline, then a love affair with the story line, to an obsession with the next closest showing. Dates never worked out or the timing wasn't right. But it seems only right that I got to watch the show on Broadway.

What did I say? There are no excuses to be bored here.
